Checking Clinic

As some of our players prepare to enter Bantam this upcoming season, checking becomes an essential part of the game. All players are encouraged to take a Checking Clinic before the start of the season. South Shore Conference players are required by the league to complete a certified checking clinic before participating.

While families are free to choose any clinic that meets the requirements, we strongly encourage you to complete it with us. Not only does it support the program, but it also ensures players are taught the right way — with an emphasis on safety, body positioning, awareness, and confidence.

Our clinic is led by experienced coaches who understand the importance of teaching contact the right way, so players can make a smooth and safe transition to full-check hockey.

This clinic is designed to meet the SSC requirements for the 2011 and 2012 players entering Bantam for the 2025-2026 season, but is open to any player (2011-2014) who wishes to learn or brush up on the ins and outs of checking.

We will be holding two different Checking Clinics. Both clinics will be held at NESV on the Premier Rink. Attending one of the two available dates would meet the league requirements, but players are highly encouraged to attend both

2. Thursday, 8/21 at 6:00 PM (NESV Premier)
